The Giant Antics of Tim Lincecum & Brian Wilson

Fresh off a World Series Championship, Giant's loudest arms Tim Lincecum and Brian Wilson are more than just talent on the field. Between Lincecum's shoulder length, floppy hair and Wilson's Mullet-hawk and grizzly beard, their intimidation off the field is nearly nonexistent, but on the field, there are few better at getting batters out. Here is a look at some of their shenanigans and their career statistics and accolades.

Brian Wilson

Wilson's career debuted in 2006, and since then he has been closing games with his surly attitude. An all-star in 2008 and 2010, as well as the 2010 MLB saves leader he also won the Greatness in Baseball Yearly Award for Closer of the Year in 2010. Wilson is more to baseball than just saves, however. His work in the community has been duly noted, as he has funded a Christmas party for a children's center in California, and has participated in a variety of other community causes including playing Joseph in a Nativity Scene reenactment in his home town of Winchester, Ma.

Tim Lincecum

Tim Lincecum's stellar career thus far began in his rookie season in 2007. Since then he has been mowing down batters in his 3 full seasons, garnering an incredible 2 Cy Young awards, 3 All-Star Selections, 2 Sporting News NL Pitcher of the Year Awards, and a Golden Spikes Award in 2006. He has also led the majors once and the NL twice in strikeouts. Lincecum's accomplishments are incredible considering his short career, his stature (5'11", 172lbs), and his age. Being only 26, most baseball players at that point in their life are usually still making their way through the minor leagues. Look out for The Freak's exceptional award-winning seasons in the future.

With these two recent World Series Champions succeeding and living life at this point, it should be fun to watch their antics and performances throughout the upcoming 2011 season. A Giants fan or not, everyone has to cheer for those with personality.
